Two shows announced in aid of Alder Hey Hospital featuring BGT icons, including Susan Boyle, Tokio Myers, Collabro, Attraction and Paul Potts

Legends of Britain’s Got Talent are coming together for two exclusive live charity performances, in aid of the world-renowned Alder Hey hospital.

Liverpool’s famous Empire Theatre will be the venue for the two BGT The Big Celebration shows on February 11th 2018, to mark the return to dance of MerseyGirls performer Julia Carlile. The shows will be hosted by musician and TV personality, Myleene Klass.  All proceeds will go towards the Alder Hey Children’s Charity.

MerseyGirls were finalists on Britain’s Got Talent 2017 after which Julia successfully underwent life-changing spinal surgery following her appearances on the hit ITV show.

To celebrate 15-year-old Julia’s return to dancing, MerseyGirls will perform at the two shows alongside BGT winners including 2017 victor Tokio Myers, musical theatre group Collabro, who triumphed in 2014; dog trick act Ashleigh and Sully, magician Lance Corporal Richard Jones (2016); Attraction (2013) and Paul Potts (2007).

They will be joined by BGT icon Susan Boyle, who became a global phenomenon when she appeared on the programme in 2009. To date, Susan has record sales of more than 23 million worldwide.

Other BGT stars featuring include comedian Daliso Chaponda, dance troupe Boogie Storm, magician Jamie Raven, singers Lucy Kay, Sarah Ikumu and Richard and Adam and martial artist Jesse-Jane McParland.

Julia said: “I benefitted so much from Simon’s kindness this year and now I want to do the same for Alder Hey Hospital, who have treated me for scoliosis since I was young. They have stood by me and now I want to do what I can for them.

“I am so pleased and grateful that so many legends of BGT have agreed to help.”

Clare White, Chief Executive of Alder Hey Children’s Charity, added: “We are really excited to see Julia perform with MerseyGirls at such a special event for Alder Hey Children’s Charity.

“Julia is an inspiration to all of us and we can’t wait to see her on stage. Thank you to all the acts and everyone buying tickets for the show in support of Alder Hey.”

Tickets to Britain’s Got Talent The Big Celebration are priced from £21 and are available from Liverpool Empire Theatre Box Office from 9am Thursday October 26th and www.ticketmaster.co.uk from 9am Friday October 27th.
