Lancashire’s Fylde coast is celebrating the stellar line-up announced for Lytham Festival 2021.

It’s been revealed Diana Ross, Lewis Capaldi, Snow Patrol, Lionel Richie and Duran Duran will all headline the event next summer taking place from Wednesday June 30 to Sunday July 4.

And as the announcement was made, the world-famous Blackpool Tower revealed the line-up with a message scrolling through its heart.

Elsewhere across the Fylde coast, Lytham’s famous windmill was lit up in purple all week in celebration of the Festival, unique sand art was created on St Annes Beach revealing the announcement date and time, a mysterious sign appeared in Lytham’s Clifton Square pointing to cities across the globe where the headline artists are linked to, and ‘Lytham Festival’ and its logo was painted across Lytham Green.

Five-day passes for Lytham Festival are now on sale from www.lythamfestival.com and individual tickets to all nights go on sale this Friday at 8am.

Festival director Peter Taylor said: “Lytham Festival has always enjoyed great support from across the Fylde coast and everyone has got behind this year’s fantastic announcement.

“The whole of the Fylde coast benefits from the festival with around 100,000 people visiting. Many of those people book hotels and the vast majority certainly support many hospitality businesses.

“Lytham Festival 2021 is going to be an amazing five nights and we can’t wait to return.”

“The festival is one of the stand-out events in the Fylde Coast tourism calendar and we can’t wait to see it return in the summer of 2021.”

Fylde Borough Council Chief Executive Allan Oldfield added: “Fylde Council is delighted to welcome the return of Lytham Festival, the most popular event on the Fylde coast calendar and with such a stellar international line up for 2021, the event has been a big miss this year.

This will be the 12th year, 11th event, we have worked in partnership with Cuffe & Taylor who continue to astound everyone by improving the event year on year.  Just when you think it cannot get any better, they do something new and different as they continue to bring great music and great opportunity to Lytham, the Fylde Coast and beyond.

I am confident 2021 will be the best year yet and help everyone to move forward after the challenges of 2020, we all need great music.”
