Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Teddy Swims has been putting in real work for years going from YouTube sensation to international chart-topper. With a voice that effortlessly blends R&B, soul, and pop, Swims captivates listeners with raw emotion, soulful resonance, and lyrics that explore love, loss, and self-discovery.

2024 marked a record year, with multi-platinum hits “Lose Control” and “The Door” from his debut album I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1). “Lose Control” reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, became the longest-charting Hot 100 hit in history, and is now 6x Platinum with more than 4 billion streams. With more than 12 billion streams across his catalogue, Swims continues to cement his place as one of music’s most powerful voices.

His breakout success earned him a 2025 GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist and three 2025 BET Award nominations, including Best New Artist, Best Collaboration and Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.
Swims has also won multiple prestigious international awards, including Best International Album and Best International Act at the Los 40 Music Awards, Most Radio Airplay in France, and Billboard Music Awards for “Lose Control,” including Top Hot 100 Song and Top Radio Song.

He followed his debut album with Part 2, featuring standout singles “Bad Dreams,” “Guilty,” and “Are You Even Real” ft. GIVĒON. The journey continued with the Complete Edition with the expanded album including six new tracks and across the full project, Swims also collaborated with Muni Long, Coco Jones, and GloRilla.

Teddy Swims joins a Blackweir line up which will already see two headlining shows from Scottish superstar Lewis Capaldi.

Launched earlier this year, Blackweir is Cardiff’s new live music hotspot in a partnership between DEPOT Live (the live-events arm of Cardiff music venue, DEPOT) and UK promoters Cuffe and Taylor.

Nick Saunders, founder of DEPOT Live said: “This is another huge headline show for Blackweir and Cardiff. Teddy Swims is an absolute vocal powerhouse who has enjoyed an incredible rise to success so we are thrilled to be adding him to our line up for 2026.

“What a glorious summer we are going to have in Cardiff!”

DAVID GRAY TO BRING WORLD TOUR TO UK WITH SPECIAL GUESTS THE DIVINE COMEDY

By Rhodes Media BlogsNo Comments

Following his headline Legends set at Electric Picnic, David Gray announces a brand-new summer run of UK & Ireland dates for 2026.

David brings his Past & Present World Tour – joined by special guests The Divine Comedy – to:

June 4 TK Maxx presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre
June 5 TK Maxx presents Live The Piece Hall
June 26 TK Maxx presents Live at Llangollen Pavilion
June 28 TK Maxx presents Live at Lincoln Castle
July 11 TK Maxx presents DEPOT Live at Cardiff Castle

The Past & Present World Tour has already seen David sell out 68 shows across the USA, Australia, UK and Ireland in 2025, including landmark nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall, Glasgow’s SEC Armadillo, Manchester’s O2 Apollo and Dublin’s 3Arena. His Electric Picnic set marked another milestone in support of his widely praised new album Dear Life (out now via Laugh A Minute Records/Secretly Distribution).

David said: “We’ve had the most amazing tour this year, from the opening night in Boston to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and then on to the Royal Albert Hall in London and the 3Arena in Dublin.

“These have been some of the most memorable and magical shows of my entire career. We’ve pushed ourselves as a band but it’s been richly rewarding and SO MUCH FUN! When everyone is in such fine form it would seem wrong to stop the ball from rolling – so with that in mind I’m delighted to announce a string of further dates for the summer of 2026. Exciting times!”

David Gray’s story is unlike any other. He spent almost a decade striving to make a breakthrough, and when it happened it did so in the biggest way imaginable as White Ladder became one of the best-selling British albums of recent decades and established him as an arena-filling artist.

As the years have passed, his songcraft has only deepened — his natural ability to convey specific emotions, atmospheres, or, as heard on his acclaimed 2021 album Skellig, a sense of place, has positioned him firmly in the lineage of classic poetic singer-songwriters. While the likes of Ed Sheeran, Adele and Hozier have acknowledged his influence, Gray has continued to follow his own artistic path.

The response to Gray’s 13th album Dear Life has been extraordinary. Produced by Ben de Vries, critics have hailed it as “a brooding triumph” (Telegraph), “his most confessional and emotive work to date” (Clash), and “a slow-burner that catches fire” (Mojo). The album has also drawn comparisons to Gray’s multi-platinum White Ladder — “the sonic DNA of White Ladder is present here” (Rolling Stone) and “his poppiest and most successful album since White Ladder” (Music OMH). His artistry as a songwriter has also been singled out — “this 13th album confirms Gray’s not lost his touch” (Guardian) and “a soulful collection of richly poetic songs about love, change and mortality” (Independent).

ALTER BRIDGE’S BLACKBIRD FESTIVAL TAKES FLIGHT

By Rhodes Media BlogsNo Comments

A brand new rock festival is landing in the heart of Wales – and it’s set to make some serious noise.

On Saturday 27th June, 2026, the grounds of Cardiff Castle will be shaken to their foundations as ALTER BRIDGE’s inaugural BLACKBIRD FESTIVAL bursts onto the scene with a monumental line-up the global rock heavyweights will headline.

Tickets go on general sale from 9.30am Friday August 22 via blackbirdfest.com with a range of presales kicking off from 9.30am on Tuesday August 19 via depotlive.co.uk/blackbirdfestival2026

Launching their own festival marks a key moment for ALTER BRIDGE – not just as a celebration of their legacy, but as a bold step into curating their own live experience, bringing together a handpicked lineup of artists and connecting with fans in a whole new way.

With more than two decades under their belts, ALTER BRIDGE continue to carve their name deeper into rock history. Known for their thunderous live shows, searing dual guitars, and unforgettable melodies, the Florida-formed four piece – Myles Kennedy (vocals/guitar), Mark Tremonti (guitar/vocals), Brian Marshall (bass) and Scott Phillips (drums) – have played to millions worldwide and earned a reputation as one of the most consistent and respected names in modern rock.

Now, after more than seven years away from Welsh stages, they’re coming back with something big.
“We realised we haven’t played Wales in over seven years,” says Myles Kennedy. “To make up for lost time, we thought it would be cool to do something extra special. So with that said, we are stoked to announce The Blackbird Festival. Not only does this commemorate 20-plus years of being a band, but it’s also a way to show our appreciation for the fans in Wales who’ve patiently waited for our return.”

Joining ALTER BRIDGE as very special guests are none other than SKINDRED, the unstoppable Welsh heroes whose unique blend of metal, reggae, punk and riotous energy has made them a live favourite across the globe. Expect nothing short of total carnage when Benji Webbe and co. hit the stage on home turf. And don’t forget a t-shirt to join in with the Newport Helicopter.

Also set to perform are rising Welsh powerhouse trio FLORENCE BLACK, known for their heavy-hitting anthems and gritty, melodic swagger, and the soul-infused, arena-ready sounds of CARDINAL BLACK, whose star continues to rise at rocket speed. One more band is still to be announced, so keep your eyes locked on the lineup for a final surprise.

Fans eager to be part of the first-ever BLACKBIRD FESTIVAL can get tickets and all the latest updates via blackbirdfest.com and official social media pages.

Fans can explore VIP upgrades, full tour dates, and tickets for all ALTER BRIDGE performances at alterbridge.com

ALTER BRIDGE will release their new, self-titled, eighth studio album via Napalm Records on January 9th, 2026.

Produced once again by longtime collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette, the record promises to deliver the powerful, emotionally driven sound the band is known for – just in time to fuel a triumphant return to UK & European stages for the group’s previously announced Spring 2026 headline arena run. The album was recorded over two months at the legendary 5150 Studios in California and Baskette’s studio in Florida.

Blackbird Festival 2026 is presented as part of TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle by promoters DEPOT Live and Cuffe and Taylor.

She rose to prominence in 2013 as a featured artist on the multi-platinum singles Rather B’ by Clean Bandit and My Love by Route 94 and last year Jess hit the UK’s Top Ten with her third studio album – the 15-track self-titled JESS – featuring soulful ballads and the quintessential pop anthems that have earned her the title of one of music’s most successful artists.

Ahead of Glynne’s set, Norwegian singer-songwriter Dagny will also perform. With an affinity for catchy melodies and energetic songs, Dagny is currently one of the most exciting and in-demand pop artists. More than a billion plays via streaming services, sold-out headline shows all over Europe, and more than 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, confirm that the upbeat Tromsø native consistently succeeds in making the day a little better for everyone who listens to her music.
Up and coming new band CTRL will open the night.
And the closing night of Lytham Festival on Sunday July 6 will see a double headlining set from global rock icons and Scottish legends Simple Minds and Texas with support from Liverpudlian indie heroes Cast.

The album’s release follows the singles Peaceful Place, Laredo and That’s What I Love.
